Danial Mini T wins over Aussie Rank #1 Fighter

Daniel “Mini T” Santaigym / Kao Sok Gym wins a big fight in Queensland Australia over Brodie Stalder (ranked #1 in Aus) at Detonation 11, on Saturday October 6, 2012! This is another great win to add to Danial’s growing fight record. We have been following Danial ever since he joined Santai in 2011, and we anticipate his return shortly, as a Pro fighter at Santai.

“Well was a big fight night in Australia and i got flown over to the otherside of australia (qeensland) to i fight a guy who had 40+ more fights than me and he is actually one of my favourite australian fighters when i started muay thai. His been ranked 1st in australia in jockey weight and 2nd in flyweight (55kg) the weight i fought him p

retty sure. 1st round feeling each other out he is very quick! second and third i picked up the pace got him with knees and gave him eight counts in those two rounds. But in the 4th i got a bit tired from trying to stop him in the second and third round, and he picked up the pace and i was on the back foot. luckily i survived the 4th and in the 5th i was still on the back foot but still landing good strikes from the back foot. i got the win on a unanimous points decision. It was my first 5×3 that went the distance and i ned to work on controlling my energy and being more smart about throwing shots which im sure you guys will work on when i come back beacause I started to get tired in the 4th and 5th feeling weak and i was taking big shots with my guard dropping dangerously.”

Note Santaigym to Fight in Bangkok Next Month

Our top fighter Note Santaigym is off to Auswindam (Channel 9) Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand on November 4th, 2012.

Note has been dominating the Chiang Mai fighting market for a while now and is now ready to taste better level fighting in Bangkok. We are very proud of Note, and we see great potential in him, he is a star for sure.

We are heading down to Bangkok by car on Nov. 3rd, 2012. Santai friends welcome to come support.

The fight will be broadcasted on Thai television Channel 9.

Sep 8 – Jeremy's first fight. He lost to a better opponent, yet showed big heart fighting a technical offensive and defensive fight. Now back to the gym for more work! Good Job!

New Training Matts

This month we replaces the jigsaw training matts in the gym. The old ones were wearing out, so out with the old, and in with the new. We put the old matts under the ring cover for better cushioning, and put in new blue matts on the gym floor. These new matts are thicker than the old red ones, and feel nice and firm again.
