Curtis W. Santai – Wins At New Chiang Mai New Stadium March 4th 2563

Curtis W. Santai was scheduled to rematch his previous opponent, who he’d fought back in January, but due to injury he was unable to fight to see the rematch and in which showed a new Thai opponent Petmunell Kaltoajlnpugsod step in the ring to take on Curtis.

Opening round starts off very slow pace until… Curtis delivers a speedy right head kick that lands and sends his opponent Petmunell to the canvas. The ref begins the count as Petmunell rises to his feet, he’s shaken and still hurt from the head kick. The action resumes and remarkably Petmunell seems recovered and back in the fight.

Curtis begins to attack the lead leg with leg kicks. Shortly after Petmunell delivers a sharp right kick in which Curtis catches and beautifully counters with a straight right hand once again sending his opponent to the canvas for another count. Round one ends, The second round begins with Curtis staying long and using his long range attacks checking his opponents reaction and his defence. The Thai Petmunell comes forward with a few threatening right hands, Curtis stays strong in his guard as advised by his corner continuing to block and Teep, round two comes to a close.

Third round begins and the Thai opponent Comes forward with a few bursting combinations in which Curtis intelligently covers up and blocks, Curtis also begins digging to the body with sharp left hooks. Curtis begins advancing on his opponent scoring three consecutive left kicks to the arms of the Thai. Curtis is in a great rhythm now and begins shuffling his feet to confuse his opposition, in doing so Curtis is able to set up another head kick which staggers the Thai and throws him off. Curtis follows up and clips the Thai with a left hook, yet again Petmunell gets sent to the floor for a count. Petmunell answers the count and not long after round three comes to a close.

Round four, Curtis intelligently creeps forward anticipating his opponents next move. Petmunell throws a few teeps to try and back Curtis up. Curtis re-engages and lands two thudding left hooks to the body, Curtis then follows up with kicks and knees as well, the Thai seems hurt to the body. Curtis switches things up and begins attacking with leg kicks. Fifth and final round. Curtis is clearly ahead on points and is acknowledged by a nod from his opponent, Curtis dances off on his way to a victory.

Result: Curtis W. Santai Win via points decision.

Sudsakhorn T-ded 99 – Wins at New Chiang Mai New Stadium March 4th 2563

Next up was Santai Muay Thai gym trainer Kru Sudsakhorn from the renowned T-ded 99 gym in Bangkok. This fight was truly a treat as Sudsakhorn is a Lumpinee & Thailand champion.

The opening round shows an even tempo from both Sudsakhorn and his opponent, Sudsakhorn beginning to fake and faint to check out his opponents reaction, Sudsakhorn immediately begins attacking the back leg of his opponent, which worked well in his last fight. His opponent becomes wise to this tactic and starts to block the low kicks.

Out of nowhere Sudsakhorn flys in and throws an elbow which seems to land and backs his opponent up. The action resumes, more faking and feeling each other out, Sudsakhorn’s opponent throws a kick that is caught and countered by a beautifully timed sweep from Sudsakhorn Round one ends. Start of Round two, Sudsakhorn continues to fake and faint, using punches to blind his opponent in efforts to set up his kicks, though his opponent begins to land a few nice body kicks throughout the round. Sudsakhorn remains calm and poised during the second round.

Into the third round. We find the fight begin to pick up, the trickery, speed and timing between the two fighters starts to add that hypnotic poetry you only see in true high level Muay Thai. Both fighters begin going toe to toe, exchanging lighting fast kicks, teeps and punches, though there’s back and forth action, each exchange finds Sudsakhorn a little step ahead. Round four, the high level game of chess continues.

Both fighters exchange kicks, Sudsakhorn begins to pull ahead, at one point Sudsakhorn shuffles his feet to off set the timing in which his kick lands. A hard left kick to the arms is delivered by Sudsakhorn followed by a teep, it was a solid left kick that landed to the arms, you could here the cracking sound. All of a sudden Sudsakhorn’s opponent stops and drops down to his knees, he’s hurt and the referee calls the fight off.

Result: Sudsakhorn T-ded 99 Wins via TKO in the fourth round.
