Danielle Lentini from Canada fought Patty from Thailand at Thapae Stadium in Chiang Mai, 5th June 2019. Danielle set the pace high from the first round charging forwards while her Thai opponent evaded countering with head kicks. Instructed by the trainers Danielle kept her guard high and continued to edge forward while throwing body kicks. As the rounds continued Danielle took the fight into the clinch where she dominated throughout the remanding bout. Danielle was awarded the win by unanimous decision.
Next up representing Santai Muay Thai was Karla Bendixen from Denmark fighting Audrey from France at Anusarn Stadium in Chiang Mai, 7th June 2019. The fight started with both fighters calmly settling into the bout checking distance and reaction, but that soon changed as round 2 started and both girls aggressively moved forward with elbows and big punches. However the fight was soon paused when the stadium lights / electricity failed from the heavy rain. Both fighters returned to their corners where they patiently remained seated for the lights to turn back on. After a five minute wait the power came back on and round 3 commenced. Both girls took heavy shots to the face , Audrey receiving a cut under her right eye and karla receiving a broken nose. Due to the amount of blood and damage the referee stopped the fight awarding the win to Audrey from France.
Congratulations to all fighters on great performances!
